Police Air Unit took delivery of their newly customized Bell 206B3.
TAS was awarded the contract in November of 2003 to customize the
newly purchased aircraft. The new helicopter will be replacing one
of their aging helicopters with a more mission capable system.
TAS
completed the helicopter at their Fort Worth facility in accordance
with the City's specifications. The configuration consists of a
Garmin GNC-420 GPS/Comm system, NAT AMS-44 audio panel, King KY-196A
Comm and KT-70 transponder. Technisonics NEW TDFM-618 tactical radio
system, NAT public address system, air conditioning, Tech Tool windows
and a customized paint scheme were included.
Additionally
a Spectrolab SX-16 search light, Lo-Jack tracker, L3 communications
Mobile Vu street level mapping system and L3 Wescam 12DS200 gyro
stabilized camera system with infrared imaging completed the Law
Enforcement equipment. These items combined to make one of Fort
Worth's most effective crime fighting and aerial surveillance tools.

Aviation Services, based at the Fort Worth-Meacham International
Airport, has been serving the aviation industry for more than 34
years. TAS currently has a significant number aircraft and helicopters
in different phases of completion.
