Mr. Ron Pratte Takes Delivery Of New Helicopter

Mr. Ron Pratte of Phoenix, Arizona took possession of his new Eurocopter EC135 on September 5, 2006. The helicopter was formally accepted and flown from Texas Aviation Services by Mr. Pratte’s representative, Scott Urschel. Mr. Pratt wrote in a note to Tim Woodard, President of Texas Aviation Services, “Words cannot express how happy I am with the work that you guys did.  I was completely amazed with the quality and attention to detail.  I've had many custom things built through the years by some of the best in the business and I've never seen this level of workmanship.”

The EC135 was configured for single-pilot IFR flight. Max-Viz, the latest technology in enhanced vision systems, was installed with its associated 6.4 inch LCD monitor. The cockpit layout included dual Garmin GNS 430 Comm Nav GPS receivers with moving map display, Garmin GDL 69A satellite radio, satellite weather, and XM radio receiver, a Garmin MX 20 multi-function display, Garmin GWX 68 4-color radar, and L3 Skywatch 497 TCAS. Two Technisonix audio control panels were selected for pilot and co-pilot use. An Artex ELT and Geneva Satellite telephone completed the avionics package.

The ultra-plush VIP corporate interior included hand-crafted leather seats, special loomed carpeting, and custom-crafted cabinetry. Tech Tool windows were chosen for their thermal protection, and the interior will be further kept cool by an Air Comm air conditioning system.

The exterior paint scheme, designed by Mr. Pratte, was of brilliant white accented with flowing Turquoise, Silver Platinum, Platinum, and Claret Red stripes. The scheme, which matches many of Mr. Pratte’s other aircraft, was accomplished in Texas Aviation Services’ state-of-the-art paint facility.

By any standards, the Pratte helicopter is one of the finest corporate helicopters flying in the world today. It has both a highly integrated advanced avionics package for the pilots and a luxurious cabin for the passengers.

Texas Aviation Services is located on Fort Worth Meacham International Airport.
