For Immediate Release
Fort Worth—February 12, 2008 Texas Aviation Services, an industry leader in helicopter and aircraft completions, MRO and maintenance services for over 37 years, has achieved repair station certification number CHE No. 0712-01/ANAC with Brazil’s ANAC (Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil). TAS is now one of only a very few independently owned helicopter customizing and completion centers in the U.S. with certification for Brazilian rotorcraft customers. This federal license from Brazilian aviation authorities is a significant enabling function for TAS to service and certify completions, retrofits, and customizations for the growing number of large turbine-powered helicopters in cities such as Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, for flying customers such as major corporations, wealthy individuals, and offshore oil companies. Market estimates for jet-driven helicopters in just those two major cities of Brazil range as high as 1,000+ and increasing steadily due to increased usage and broader mission applications.
Tim Woodard, President of TAS, said “Brazil is one of the fastest growing helicopter markets in the world. We have an extraordinary influx of new customer channels in Sao Paulo and elsewhere in that immense country. Sao Paulo is arguably the single most helicopter-intensive metropolis on the globe. We are proud and privileged to be licensed by ANAC for these important rotorcraft projects in Brazil. This authorization allows us to deliver helicopters to our Brazilian clients without the excessive time delays suffered by non-ANAC repair stations.”
